Tracking player development
As a coach, record focus areas for individual players, complete them and pick them up again – private and visible only to you.
Player development lets you note what you’re currently working on with a player – for example “Overhead serve”. Each entry is a focus that you later mark as completed.
Who uses player development
You need the Track player development permission in the team. By default only the Coach role has it.
Adding a focus
- Open your team and tap the player to open their profile.
- On the Development card, tap New focus.
- Enter a title, e.g. “Overhead serve”.
- Describe what exactly should be worked on.
- Save. Both fields are required.
The Development card then shows how many focus areas are active and how many are completed. If there are more, tap Show all ….
Completing and managing focus areas
Tap a focus. You can then:
- Mark as completed – once the goal has been reached.
- Reactivate – if the topic becomes important again. The app shows how often a focus has already been completed (“Completed …×”).
- Delete focus – after a confirmation, the entry is permanently deleted.
When all focus areas are done, the card says “All focus areas are completed.”
All players at a glance
As soon as you’ve added your first focus, the side menu shows the item Player development. There you see the focus areas of all your players in one place.
- Search player or focus… helps you find an entry quickly.
- The filters All, Active and Completed narrow down the list. By default you only see active focus areas.
In the web dashboard
Player development is only available in the app. In the web dashboard you can’t see or add focus areas.
More about player profiles and member data is in Team data and member profiles; permissions are covered in Roles and permissions.
