FAQ and troubleshooting

Signing in, passwords, push notifications, the connection banner, updates, joining or leaving a team – and how to reach support.

Here you'll find solutions to the most common problems. If none of them helps, send us a support request straight from the app.

I can't sign in

“Email or password is incorrect.”

  • Check your email address for typos and spaces.
  • If you registered with Apple or Google, sign in with that button again – not with email and password.
  • If you've forgotten your password, reset it (see below).

On the sign-in screen you'll also find the Contact support link under Trouble signing in?.

I forgot my password

  1. On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password?.
  2. Enter your email address and tap Send link.
  3. Open the email and choose a new password via the link.

No email? Check your spam folder and make sure you entered the right address. Use a different email address lets you try another one.

Apple and Google accounts have no password to reset. If you'd like a password as well, e.g. for the web dashboard, set one up in the app under Settings → Profile & Account → Set up a password.

I can't get into the web dashboard

  • The dashboard only accepts email and password. There's no registration or “forgot password” there – both go through the app.
  • “No dashboard access” means you don't have a coach, supervisor, helper or admin role. Players and parents use the app.

All the details in Signing in to the web dashboard.

I'm not getting push notifications

Work through these points in order:

  1. Phone settings: are notifications allowed for VolleyFit? If not, the Notifications page in the app shows a hint too.
  2. App settings: menu → Settings → Notifications. Is the right toggle on – in the Global tab and in the team's tab?
  3. Team tab: if Global settings is off there, that team's own toggles apply.
  4. Chat: is the chat muted? Press and hold it in the chat list and check Mute.
  5. Coach notifications for the Daily Check, pain reports and workouts only come from Premium groups.
  6. Focus/Do Not Disturb on your phone can hold notifications back.

On some Android devices the daily Daily Check reminder can arrive up to about 15 minutes late. More in Notifications.

It says “No internet connection” at the top

A thin bar at the very top of the app shows your connection:

BarMeaning
red: No internet connectionThe app can't reach the internet.
blue: Poor connectionThe connection is very slow.
green: Back onlineAll good again – the bar disappears by itself.

The app measures the connection itself. That's why the bar also appears when your Wi-Fi is connected but, for example, a login page at the hotel or sports hall is waiting. In that case open your browser and sign in to the Wi-Fi – or switch to mobile data.

The app wants an update

  • “New version available”: an update is recommended. Tap Update now, or Later – then the app won't ask again about this version for 7 days.
  • Full-screen “Update”: your version is no longer supported. Tap Update now and install the update from the App Store or Google Play. Then everything works as usual.

I can't join a team

MessageSolution
Invitation code not foundCheck the code: 6 characters. Ask your coach for a current code or link.
You have already submitted a requestYour request is already there. A coach or supervisor still has to accept it.
You are already a memberYou're already in the team – look under Teams.
Date of birth requiredEnter your date of birth and try again.
Parental consent requiredYou're under 16. Invite a parent under menu → Guardians. Once they've accepted, you can join.

Remember: a code sends a join request. You're only in the team once it's been accepted. More in Joining a team and Setting up guardian access.

I want to leave a team

You can't leave on your own – there's no “leave team” button. Ask your coach or club admin to remove you from the team. The team chat then disappears from your list too. Only club chats can be left yourself, via Leave group.

The Daily Check or pain report won't open

You need to consent to the processing of your health data – and, if you're under 16, have a confirmed guardian. Follow the instructions in the window that appears. More in Health data and consent.

Contacting support

To send us a request from the app:

  1. Open the menu at the top left → Support.
  2. Tap New request.
  3. Choose a Category (e.g. “Problem / bug” or “Account & login”) and describe your issue.
  4. Add up to 4 screenshots if you like and tap Send.

Your app version and device are sent automatically. You'll get our reply as a push notification, and you'll find all your requests under My requests. If a request says Waiting for you, we need an answer from you – without one it's closed automatically after 7 days. If you write again after that, it reopens.
