Body data and measurements
Enter your weight and height, see your BMI and follow the results of your performance tests under “My measurements”.
VolleyFit has two kinds of values: your body data (weight, height, BMI), which you enter yourself, and your measurements – the results of performance tests such as jump height or medicine ball throw, which your coach records.
Entering body data
The app asks for your body data automatically about once a month: when you open the app and there are no values yet, or your last entry is at least 30 days old.
- Enter weight: turn the picker wheel (30 to 150 kg in steps of 0.5) or tap the value to type it in. Tap Save.
- Enter height: the same, from 100 to 250 cm.
If you don’t want to enter a value, tap Skip. Whatever you’ve entered is saved.
Because body data counts as health data, the app asks for your consent before saving. More in Health data and consent.
BMI and history
Once you’ve entered your weight and height, the app calculates your BMI (weight in kg divided by height in meters squared).
To see your history, tap your profile picture in the top right and open the Health tab. The Body measurements chart shows weight, height and BMI over time.
My measurements: your performance tests
Your coach can run performance tests on measurement days and record the results in VolleyFit. Typical tests include:
| Test | Unit |
|---|---|
| Jump and Reach | cm |
| Block Jump Height | cm |
| Medicine Ball Throw | m |
| Arm Reach | cm |
| Standing Reach | cm |
Your team or club can also create its own tests.
You’ll find your results in the menu in the top left under My measurements.
For each test you’ll see:
- Latest value – your most recent result,
- Personal best – the highest or lowest value, depending on the test (neutral values such as arm reach have no personal best),
- History – all your results so far (All values).
If you’ve done tests in several teams, the results are combined.
How coaches set up measurement days and record values is explained in Running performance tests.
Who can see my values?
- Body data: you, coaches and supervisors in your teams with the “View member data” permission, and your guardians.
- Measurements: you and team members with permission to view measurements – by default coaches and supervisors. Also anyone who is allowed to see your health data.
If you withdraw your health data consent, your body data and measurement values are deleted.
In the web dashboard
In the web dashboard, coaches see both under Members → player → Measurements tab: the Performance tests with best value, and the Body measurements with weight, height and BMI – for the last 4 weeks or 3 months.
