Running performance tests
Create measurement days, record values such as jump height or sprint time, define your own metrics, and analyse and export results in the dashboard.
Measurements let you record your team’s performance tests – for example Jump and Reach or a sprint. For each measurement day you enter every player’s values in a table, and later you can see personal bests and progress.

Metrics: what gets measured
VolleyFit comes with five System templates: Jump and Reach, Block Jump Height, Medicine Ball Throw, Arm Reach and Standing Reach. They can’t be changed.
To create your own metric:
- Open your team and tap ⋮ at the top → Measurements.
- Tap the gear icon → Manage metrics → Add metric.
- Enter a Name and choose the Unit (Centimeters, Meters, Seconds, Weight, Count).
- Choose the Direction: Higher is better, Lower is better or Neutral (no PB) – e.g. for arm reach.
- Optionally add a description and save.
Recording values
- Open your team → ⋮ → Measurements.
- Tap Record values. The app creates today’s measurement day or opens it.
- Choose the players and, via the gear icon, today’s metrics.
- Enter the values in the table.
The Measurements page lists all previous measurement days with the number of athletes and values. Tap a day to open it. Only people with the Delete values permission can delete values.
What players see
Players find their values in the side menu under My measurements – the item appears once the first value has been recorded. There they see their values from all teams and their personal best (neutral metrics have none). More in Body data and measurements.
As a coach, you can also see a player’s values on their profile in the Measurements tab.
In the web dashboard
Recording is especially quick on a computer. Open Measurements in the sidebar. At the top you’ll see key figures such as the number of sessions, the last measurement and how many members have been measured.
Sessions:
- Click Record session, choose the Date (not in the future) and click Start recording.
- Choose the columns via Metrics. A new day suggests the metrics from the previous session.
- Enter the values – each cell saves automatically as soon as you leave it. Enter or ↓ jumps to the next row, Tab to the next column. Clearing a cell deletes the value.
The table shows the previous value as a hint, the change since the last measurement, the best of the day and personal bests. At the bottom you’ll find the Team avg for each column.
More tabs:
- Leaderboard: ranking per metric for the season, 12 months or all time – with team record, best values and improvements. Neutral metrics aren’t ranked.
- Progress & comparison: the team’s trend over time and up to 6 people compared (from two sessions onwards).
- Metrics: create, edit, archive or delete group and club metrics. Values already recorded are kept when you delete a metric.
Measurements in the dashboard don’t require Premium.
