Getting around the app
Bottom bar, side menu, bell and profile picture – how to find your way around the VolleyFit app.
The app has five areas at the bottom, a top bar with the menu, bell and profile picture, and a side menu for everything else. Here’s where to find what.
The bottom bar
| Tab | What you’ll find there | Sub-areas |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | Your home page with tiles such as Daily Check and upcoming events | – |
| Events | All your teams’ events | Events (list) ↔ Calendar |
| Workouts | Training plans, statistics and exercises | Workouts → Statistics → Exercises |
| Teams | Your teams and clubs | Teams ↔ Club |
| Chat | Your conversations (Messages) | – |
The app remembers which sub-area you used last and opens it again next time. On a tablet the bar sits on the side, and some sub-areas appear side by side, such as the list and the calendar.
The top bar
- Menu (left): opens the side menu. A red number shows that something new is waiting for you there.
- Bell (right): your Notifications. More in Notifications.
- Profile picture (far right): opens your own profile page with your statistics and the Health and Training tabs.
On a tablet, the bell and profile picture are at the bottom of the side bar.
The side menu
Tap the menu at the top left. You’ll find:
| Entry | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Training diary | Your own sessions and weekly plan – see Training diary and weekly plan |
| Absences | Enter holidays, injuries and more – see Entering absences |
| Tabata timer and Minigames | See Tabata timer and minigames |
| My measurements | Appears once you have measurement values – see Body data and measurements |
| Player development | Appears once there are entries – see Tracking player development |
| Guardians | Link parents and children – see Setting up guardian access |
| Support | Ask the VolleyFit team a question |
| Quick survey | Only visible at times |
| Settings | See Settings, language and theme |
| Sign out | Sign out of the app |
Notices and banners
Sometimes the app shows a notice at the top or on the dashboard:
- No internet connection (red), Poor connection (blue) or briefly Back online (green) – a thin bar at the very top.
- Running workout or Tabata timer: if you leave a running workout or the timer, a banner appears that takes you back.
- Enable notifications: if you’ve turned off notifications on your phone, the dashboard reminds you once. Tapping it opens the system settings.
- New version available: when there’s an update, the app suggests it. If your version is too old, you have to update before you can continue.
Customizing the dashboard
You choose which tiles appear on your dashboard, and in which order, under Settings → Dashboard widgets.
